BACKGROUND

I am a mother, a wife, a follower of Christ, a homesteader, an endurance athlete, and just a person just trying to find the beauty and joy in life while also pushing personal limits. I have always found immense gratification in the pursuit of personal excellence and growth - whether it be signing up for a 100 mile ultramarathon, clean and jerking 240 pounds, training for a triathlon, reading a new book every month, or taking new courses and learning new skills. Becoming a mother has really opened my eyes to the different challenges and obstacles that life can throw our way and given me a new appreciation for our health and longevity.

 

Professionally, I have been in the fitness industry for over a decade now. As an athlete and a trainer, I have seen it all. I played sports my whole life before getting introduced to weightlifting at 17. I went on to pursue track and field in college before having season and career ending knee surgery. I have done everything from long distance running, bodybuilding, obstacle course racing, powerlifting, CrossFit, and most recently ultrarunning.  During college, I developed an eating disorder, that would take 6 years to overcome. In that time, I became passionate about nutrition and finding the optimal diet for humans and discover what possesses us to see food in a myriad of ways. In that pursuit, I became a certified nutritionist and have enjoyed every interaction helping others develop a healthy and sustainable realtionship with food.

I have been a personal trainer and CrossFit coach since 2015 and have had the incredible privilege to train with and under some of the best in the business and my hope is to share that knowledge with you. Since then, I have worked with D1 college athletes, powerlifters, CrossFitters, runners, new moms, former athletes, and many individuals who were brand new to exercising.  Regardless of your current activity level, I am confident that we can create a plan that works for you. We're all built to endure whatever life throws at us.
